i think i hit something...
Pretty sure...no actually i am not sure if I tore through my scar tissue today. It definitely feels like it did when i ripped the acl so who really knows. It hurts to walk though so thats kinda of a new development in the ongoing sage of what is my injury. Working on personal statements for grad school...EKKK thats kinda crazy. GRE is up next on my list of things to do which is something that i am not looking forward to Ill take the ACL injury over the GRE any time.

A toast to the dangerous side of things...
So i secretly have this fetish with high heels. I love them! I mean I am not by any stretch of the imagination a girly girl. Trust me I am not, my injury proves so. Also a million other people would have to agree with the statement of me not being a girly girl. So after about 5 weeks post surgery I decided to try something, I wore high heels today to church. Not that bad, only 2.5 inches so for those out there who know me, no i did not aim for the 4 inch ones that I typically wear. It was nice to wear something other than flip flops or vans or jordans. So now as i sit in my kitchen drinking some water, I toast to my fast recovery and the eventual wearing of 4 inch heels. Here's looking at you kid.

PT...
So physical therapy went well. Pushing through the pain to get the knee to bend. I was given the ok to start working out on my own in a gym if i wanted. Good times, no running yet which is pretty depressing. Heading to idaho for the weekend to see my sister which will be nice. Dodgers play tonight, how awesome is that. GO DODGERS!

105 degrees and counting...
So my good knee can bend 135, my bad one currently bends at 105. Close to 5 weeks and i am close to being slightly normal again. So exciting. Crutch free and 105 degrees its awesome. Weekend was good. Had the best japanese steak ever. It was so soft and memorable... if your curious the place is called kyoto. Loved it! Also Halloween is quickly on its way and I am excited. Last year i passed for a 12 year old, i think i can officially qualify as a 13 year old. I am planning this awesome work party that is going to be one of the best things people attend in their life time...jealous yet???Also one of my favorite Halloween things to do besides tricking people about how old I am is watching that one Boys Meets world Episode- "Welcome to John Adams High this is where your gonna die, death is on the menu tonight." Best believe I am going trick or treating. Also shout out to the Dodgers the only LA team and the Angels (who are in orange county but are secretly jealous cause they aren't from LA).

Pushing 90
So i am at about 85 degrees, that how far back my knee will bend. I have improved by 25 degrees which is rather exciting. My leg is getting pretty strong, I mainly use the crutches to maintain balance. For the most part I am using my left leg to move around. I can finally drive again. My parents decided it was best to drive out an automatic for my use, I eventually need to drive to places. Its pretty sweet. I forget how much I love driving. Besides loving driving, I love the fact that the Dodgers are playing tonight in game one of the NLDS series, also 30 for 30 is on ESPN. I saw a preview for it and it look fantastic. First part was last night hope to catch some of it tonight while watching the Dodger game and the Yankees game. Also basketball season is starting soon, shout out Lakers! I am actually heading to a game this holiday season which I am stoked about. If only it had been the christmas day game. Oh well maybe next year for now 3 days before christmas game will have to do.

Dances with wolves
Ok so you know the opening scene in Dances with Wolves where kevin costner puts his boot on put its super painful because well he messed his foot up and the doctors were thinking about chopping it off but instead he takes off so they don't. Well that's what physical therapy feels like it hurts so bad but you know you gotta do it. Well as it turns out I am almost half way through therapy i have another week on crutches...supposedly we will have to see about that.
The only exciting thing for me today mainly was that I was able to download one of my favorite songs...

Bend the knee
It may seem like a quite simple task but relearning to walk not so simple. This weeks goal is to be walking by Saturday, although technically i am suppose to be crutches for at least another two weeks. Im going to do it in one. just you see.
Also halloween has to be one of the best holidays. I watched a full episode of goosebumps the other night and loved it. Life is good when you can find old school goosebumps episodes

Riding a bike
I semi rode a bike today. I would have to say it was rather difficult. Physical Therapy is pretty rough and i find myself having to take my ipod to get through the hard parts. Some day soon ill post a play list for your enjoyment.
I watched The Killers yesterday not the band but the 1946 version based on two of Ernest Hemingway's short stories. It was your typical old school gangster film that was so awesome I now am seeking it out to own for my personal collection.

Stitches
My stitches came out today! I am excited because that entire part of my leg is really gross and it can finally breathe and be slightly normal now. PT is going well I can officially bend my knee about 50 degrees which may seem like no big deal but it really is. I am semi walking now...that means I still am using crutches. I hope in the next two weeks that I will be able to rely on just myself in regards to walking as opposed to crutches. Nothing really huge to report other than I am getting my copy of the 1931 Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde dvd which is exciting, yes i do realize how big of a geek I am for enjoying silly movies like that. Also Rear Window, not the Johnny Depp one is also on its way. I am way excited it seems lately that I have a thing for the old school films. I guess when you get tired of the typical main stream media movies when your stuck in bed all day you dabble back in time to find the classics and the not so classic movies.

It all started on August 11
More than a month ago I tore my ACL doing one of my favorite leisure activities. Now a month later i have had in exact medical terms Knee Anthroscopy and Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Hamstring. Its this surgery where they take part of your hamstring and repair your torn ACL with it, it's a lot better than the alternative which is taking a piece of a cadaver and repairing it. So now that that's done the long journey of it getting repaired and physical therapy. Ill put pictures and what not up so for those of you who actually enjoy things like bones and ligaments will actually be able to see and wrap your head around.
The saddest part about this all is that I can't play sports for 6 months. So no longboarding, volleyball, football, snowboarding and all the other sports I love. Jealous yet? Didn't think so.
